Up for auction is a very nice example of a 1954 ford f100 short bed all steel pickup truck that was frame-off restored. Everything has been replaced, and was done tastefully. The frame was completely stripped down to nothing and everything added was brand new. Truck has drum brakes all the way around, original type suspension but was replaced with new. It has a rebuilt 327 chevy engine which was very well done. Connected to the 327, it has a turbo 350 chevy automatic transmission in a factory type ford truck rear end. - new wiring completed by a professional - new interior - tilt steering wheel - new wooden floor installed in the bed - new shocks - new exhaust - new brake hardware flaws: - minor nicks in paint on bed rail - paint has rubbed/chipped through where drivers door meets frame and where hood meets fender. See pictures. - paint does show some areas of blistering. The pictures speak for themselves. This is a very nice example of a restored early ford pickup truck. This '66 fairlane 500xl convertible was purchased new in early 1967 at nothstein ford right here in kutztown. The next local owner bought in 1995. Its now for sale again. This car has a 289 cu. V8 with a 2 barrel carburetor and a 3 speed cruise-o-matic automatic transmission. It is finished in color code "u" tahoe turquoise and the vinyl interior is code 87 - aqua. It has a white power convertible top. It has power steering, a push button am radio, seat belts front and rear, the power convertible top, white sidewall tires, and a 3 speed heater / defroster. This car was repainted at some point before the last owner purchased it with single stage paint. There are no bare spots or serious damage in the paint except for one small surface rust spot on the driver's door. The original chrome is all there and varies in quality from excellent to good. The radial tires have very good tread. The solid underside was undercoated and shows no surface rust or holes. The engine compartment has not been detailed but is clean. The engine starts easily and runs strong. The interior seating surfaces are original; some broken seams and tears are evident. The carpet is good in the front and a bit threadbare in the rear. All the gauges seem to work in the dash. The dash trim seems to be original and is in fair to good condition showing some wear. The top of the dashboard is not cracked. The convertible top is clean inside but can use a good cleaning outside. The top goes up and down as it should. The convertible top boot cover has two holes in it and comes with its bag the trunk has its original liner, jack and a spare tire. There is also and an extra wheel.
